Sheikh Imran calls to remain steadfast upholding Islam until
death
President of the Adhaalath Party and founder of the National Movement, Sheikh Imran Abdullah has called to remain steadfast upholding Islam until death.
Sheikh Imran made this remark speaking at the public rally of the National Movement held last night at the Artificial Beach area. He said that there might occur that he might lose the opportunity in participating the activities of the movement but no matter what the activities and meetings of the National Movement should be continued.
Sheikh Imran said that the Peoples' Majlis announced to take action within four weeks but it should be opposed.
"The action they are going to take has not been mentioned. I believe that they did not reveal it because it is something they are going to do to destroy the nationalism and Islam of the people of Maldives," he said.
In addition to this Sheikh Imran said that all should be ready to strive against and oppose all violations of Islam and the nationalistic values of the people passed by the Peoples' Majlis.
"I request all of you for one thing. That is to protect and preserve the religion of Islam that has been the religion of the people of Maldives in the past 900 years," he said.
