In a JP govt, all parties will be welcomed to join the govt- Gasim

Gasim Ibrahim has said that in a Jumhooree Party’s government all political parties will be welcomed to join the government and government positions would not be given to members of the Jumhooree Party alone.

Gasim made this remark speaking at the Friday night’s public rally of the party held at Hadhunmathi Gan. During his speech Gasim detailed on his policies and strategies to serve the nation and the people if he is elected as the President in the upcoming election.

Gasim said that he will not grant government positions to anyone based on his party or political ideology. He said that he will only grant government positions to people who are qualified and capable of lifting the sad situation the country is in today.

JP Leader further said that the economy of Maldives is under threat and the debt of the state is so much. He said that these issues cannot be resolved except by granting the authority to those who are capable and competent.

He said that it is not from democracy to only favour a people of a certain party when giving responsible positions of the government.
