No other candidate can compete with me in the fight against corruption- Gasim

Jumhooree Party Leader, Gasim Ibrahim has said that there is no other candidate contesting in the Presidential Election to be held this year who can compete with him in the fight against corruption.

Gasim Ibrahim said this speaking at the last night’s session of the weekly meetings of the Jumhooree Party held at the activity centre of the party. He said that the top most priority of a government led by the Jumhooree Party will be the eradication of corruption.

Gasim said that transport and connectivity as pivotal in fostering economic growth and social cohesion. He said that within two years every atoll of Maldives will have an airport in the government of Jumhooree Party. He said that this is a top priority of his administration in order to foster regional development.

“With the nearing of elections people will be showered with money. However, the people should not accept such money. And even if you take money, my appeal is to vote in according to what you believe and don’t let others money to make your decision,” he said.

Gasim said that the service to the nation is not the many promises before the election but it is how much the candidate served before elected as a President.

Meanwhile, according to reports more than 260 people joined Jumhooree Party last night. And among those who joined the party last night include famous musician Masodi Imad Ismail.
