Authority is not only won by the largest party-Abbas

Spokesperson of Gaumee Ittihaad Party (GIP), Abbas Adil Riza has said that the authority of a state is not only won by the largest party of that state or country .

Abbas made this remark speaking at the public rally of GIP at Kaafu Guraidhoo. He said that a minor party can only win the election.

"There are more than 15000 members in the MDP registry. Maybe only 10000 will be participating in the vote. 10000 but the authority was won by MDP. This shows that election is not won by the largest party alone," he said.

Abbas said that the largest party is not the party with the highest number of members. He said that the largest party in the Maldives is those who have not joined a party yet.

Abbas said that the people of Maldives are from the party of Islam as the people are all Muslims. "It is the party that forbids evil and enjoins good. When all join this party all will go good," he said.

Abbas said that President Dr. Mohamed Waheed has shown a beautiful example of great leadership to the world. "The seas were rough from all sides in the presidency of Dr. Waheed. But however he is the captain of this ship that is sailing forward in these rough seas. He has not abandoned the steer for a second. This is not something that everyone can do," he said.

Abbas said that if all of this is considered by the people before voting they will all vote for Dr. Waheed has the President.
