CMAG doesn’t have  condition on not having Nasheed’s trail – Abbas

President’s Press Secretary Abbas Adil Riza has said that Maldives was taken out of CMAG agenda not conditioning of not having ex President Mohamed Nasheed’s trail  and also not conditioning  to give chance for Nasheed to run in the election.

Speaking to Miadhu News, Abbas said, MDP leaders and officials are saying that Maldives was taken out of CMAG agenda because the government accepted CMAG’s condition on not having Nasheed’s trail and withdrawing all allegations against him and to give chance for him to run in next presidential election. He said these are false information and MDP is using this tactic to gain support from the members of the party. He said MDP always uses these kind of tactics to garner support of the members.

Abbas said Nasheed and his agent Shaheed is misleading the people and Maldives was removed from CMAG agenda by not putting forward any conditions to the government. He said nothing like that was on CoNi report so , CMAG also cannot put any condition because there was no such thing in the report.

He said it is a big success to the President and his government because Maldives was removed from CMAG and President Waheed has the courage to deal things like this in the international world. He said because of this success , the world will know that MDP cannot challenge the government . He also said now Nasheed don’t have any big asset to be sold out to the world and he now has only buckets of lies tobe sold out and the world doesn’t accept these buckets.

Speaking about the cases proposed to the PG office on behalf of the government against Nasheed, President Waheed said CMAG questioned on allegations against Nasheed but also said that should respect the judiciary system.
