No tape can be pasted if we talk the right thing
Member of the Meedhoo constituency Ahmed Shiyam has said that with the help of the almighty, no one can get succeeded in pasting tape on the mouth, if we talk the right. While answering a question from Miadhu news about finding a bottle of alcohol in Mr. Shiyam’s luggage, while it was screened at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport on his return from a trip to Male. He said nobody will believe that a person who has been involved in resort business for such a longtime and the owner of the biggest resort of the Maldives will bring a bottle which is only for $8 for his purpose. He also said that he had been travelling all the time and he has gone out of the country for more than 2000 times and in these years not a single case like this has been arised.
Mr. Shiyam said that bottle was found in a luggage which had no keys and he was not the one who checked the luggages and also it is very important to find out whether there is any fingerprints of his in the bottle.
He said this case against him is because of some of the opposition people want to shut his mouth due to his criticism of the previous government. He said he always talk about the negligence of more than 30,000 youths in the country. He said the previous government has to take full responsibility of neglecting these youths.
He also said that 40 years had been passed in resort business of the country but yet still all the Heads of the sections, departments of the resorts are expatriates and no Maldivians are in these posts. So, the government haven’t build up a efficient Maldivian youths to handle the country’s resort business.
