Important agreements signed between the governments of Maldives and China 

Three very important agreements were signed yesterday between the governments of Maldives and China, as part of President Dr Mohamed Waheed’s current visit to China.

The agreements that were signed include agreement on economic and technology cooperation between the governments of China and Maldives. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Commerce of China Mr Chen Deming, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Dr Abdul Samad Abdulla.

Framework Agreement between the governments of China and Maldives for Preferential Loan.The agreement was signed by the Minister of Commerce of China Mr Chen Deming, and the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mr Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor.

Agreement of Preferential Loan for Housing Program of 1500 housing units, with EXIM Bank of China.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Commerce of China Mr Chen Deming, and the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mr Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor.

President Dr Mohamed Waheed and the Premier of China Wen Jiabao were in attendance at the signing ceremony.
