Graduation ceremony held for the 4th Advance Fire Fighting Course


Graduation ceremony has been held for the 4th Advance Fire Fighting Course held at MNDF Fire and Rescue Training School.

The ceremony was honored by the Inspector General of MNDF Colonel Mohamed Shareef. Advance Fire Fighting Course is aimed at teaching advance skills and knowledge to firefighters who have completed the basic fire fighting course.

The course was held from 13th May 2012 to 12th August 2012. A total of 19 subjects were taught in the couse, which included incident command system, fire service history, metal and heat analysis, identification of dangerous substances, fire ground hydraulics, breathing apparatus entry control procedure, rescue obstication tools and special rescue techniques, water relay, high capacity pump and fire drills, fire alarm, incident report writing and emergency medical care.

All thirteen participants of the course passed in all subjects, including three participants achieving A+ passes. Certificates for outstanding participants and achievements were handed out by the chief guest of the ceremony Colonel Mohamed Shareef. And certificates for participants were handed out by the Officer-in-Charge of the Fire and Rescue Training School Captain Ali Saleem.  The award for best academic achievement was won by Corporal Mahfooz Abdul Rasheed, while the best fitness, best practical, field award, and best all around of the course was won by Lance Corporal Ahmed Hussain.
