Eid prayers to be held in stadium area.

Islamic Ministry has decided to have the Al’ha eid prayers at the stadium area on Friday. According to Permanent Secretary at the Ministry  Mohamed Didi, the prayers will be held the way the Fithr eid had been held in the area and the arrangements are underway.

He said a meeting was held with members from  the concerned institutions. And Minister Sheikh Shaheem took part in the meeting. Didi said members from 20 institutions joined the meeting.

Didi said almost all the work are done but still there are works related to people of the country and if anyone wants to help in the work is almost welcome to join the work.  He also said  in this eid prayers also, there will be a special area for women, elders and for those who take kids with them.

Male City council has also said that eid prayers will be held in the big mosques of Male and they are doing this to help in providing more space for people who want to perform the prayers that is to be held at the stadium.

For the first time in Maldives history, last  Fithr eid was the first eid prayers to be held at the stadium.
