6.5 Million Rufiya Loss to Maldives due to Former President Nasheed;s selfish decision:
Some members who were removed by Nasheed gets half million rufiyaa.

 Some of the members who were removed by ex President Mohamed Nasheed have got half million rufiyaa. According to Supreme Court, 8 members who were appointed by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom were removed by against the law. And now the government have given half million rufiyaa to some members.

Supreme court gave its ruling on the members on this year’s  March 13^th . And the court ordered to give the members compensation including salary and allowances from the day they were removed to the final day of the previous majlis.

One of the member who got the cash amount told V news that each member should get abot 4 lakh 7 thousand rufiyaa. The member told he had already got the amount but due to the financial instability of the government, the government had decided to give the money not in bulk but on parts.

The 8 members were South Galolhu constituency member Ahmed Mahloof, Kaashidhoo constituency member Rozaina Adam, State Health Minister Lubna Zahir Hussein, Former President of People’s Majlis Seena Ahmed Zahir, Deputy Home Minister Hoarafushi Mohamed Saleem, Chairman of Transport Authority AbduRasheed Nafiz, President of Vaavu atoll council Moosa Nizar and Director of Sunlands Hotels Hussein Hilmee.

Rozaina Adam and Ahmed Mahloof submitted the case to the court on the removal. More than 6 million rufiyaa will be spent from the government’s budget for the compensation.

MDP who came to power in 2008 said the 8 members who were appointed by former President Maumoon were members who entered majlis through the ‘back gate of the majlis’. After removing them, Nasheed appointed 8 new members instead of them. And it means that the government had spent giving salary to 16 members.
