MDP is worried because we are sustaining thelaws – Dr. Jameel

Minister of Home Affairs Dr. Ahmed Jameel Mohamed  has said that MDP is very much worried because the new government is sustaining the laws in the country.  He said one of the evidence is  MDP’s points on proposing a no confidence vote  against him to the parliament. He said when the new government came to power, country’s society was full of crimes and the crimes that are occurring in the country now, is not because of the existing government.  He also said in these few days the government has done enormous work on eradicating the crimes in the country.

Dr.Jameel said he is not worried on MDP’s work on proposing a no confidence vote on him and he will not step aside in maintain the laws and constituency of the country. 

Speaking to VTV, Riyaz Rasheed who is representing Gaumee Party in the Parliament said MDP is trying to propose a no confidence vote on Dr.Jameel because Dr.Jameel is cooperating the authorites who are looking at the cases that Nasheed has done against the laws. He also said MDP will not get victory in this case.

Riyaz said MDP is proposing this no confidence vote because the lwa system in the country is getting constructive and they want to weaken it. He also said Gaumee Party is a party which always looked  into Nasheed’s acts against the laws and constituency  by legally while he was in power. And even now they are looking , he said. Riyaz said his Gaumee Party is the party, which always say that they will take action against him.

Riyaz said, Dr.Jameel  who is also the  vice president of Gaumee Party is one of the person  who always voiced against Nasheed.  And today, it is his duty to bring Nasheed to trail and because of this MDP is not happy with him.
