Country will be in the right path if we take action against the law breakers – Thaufeeq- Political Advisor to the President

Political Advisor to the President, Ahmed Thaufeeq has said that the country will be in the right path if action is taken against the law breakers.  Thaufeeq said all the issues of the country is related to the constitution of the country and we don’t have to look at the face, colour of the party or who committed the crime when he or she breaks the law and have to be punished.

Thaufeeq condemned the Elections Commission, the  guardian of political parties because the institution didn’t take any action against MDP, when MDP said that they will not accept the judiciary system of the country.  He said there is no need of a guardian if MDP  is going against the law of the country because it MDP also gets finance from the government budget.

Thaufeeq said  in the meetings of MDP, members are calling to murder some of the prominent figures of the country and because  Election Commission is  not taking any action against MDP regarding this issue, MDP is getting support to do these kind of acts.

He said the basic right of a person is to have the right to live in the country safely. And it is the duty of the concerned authority to provide a safe place for the people to live, he said.

Thaufeeq said the authorities  don’t have to get  scared  of taking action against Nasheed  when  he is   challenging the government and breaking the laws.  He said the authorities are scared because he might send some photos to other countries and there is no reason we have to get worried if he send photos to countries. He also said questioned about Maldives not ratifying the constitution of the country.:
