Haven’t done anything which leads to corruption – Inthi
Former Chairman of Felivaru Fisheries Company Mohamed Imthiyaz (Inthi) has said that he have not done anything related to corruption when he was handling the company. He said there is a political reason for his removal from the post.
At a news conference held at Nalahiya Hotel, Inthi said he haven’t done anything which gets benefits for him neither he had supported any staffs to do it. Defending himself, Inthi said when he was at the post he did his tasks with full responsibility. He said giving items on credit and all businesses are responsibilities of the Sales department and the Managing Director and he has nothing to do with it.
He said the government hasn’t done enough on looking at his matter and this is purposely done by some people with political motives. He also said that he hasn’t ordered Felivaru Fisheries Company to give products on credit and he will propose this case to the police.
Registrar General of Jumhooree party, Inthi said he was appointed to the post of Registrar General by the council of JP and council hasn’t decided on removing him from the post.
Some political analysts are saying that the government is planning to bring all the companies under the government to convert it in to a mega company.
