Freedom of Palestine is important that the freedom of this nation- Sheikh Mohamed Didi

Minister of State for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Mohamed Didi has said that the freedom of our nation is of utmost importance to us and likewise the freedom of Palestine should be much more important for us than the freedom of our own nation.

Speaking at the symposium held by Adhaalath Party at the Artificial Beach area last night regarding the issue of Palestine, Sheikh Mohamed Didi said that Palestine is one of the holiest lands of Islam and the significance of Palestine in the Islamic faith is evident by the frequent references to it in both the Quran and in the prophetic traditions.

Sheikh Mohamed Didi said that Palestine also contains Baitul-Maqdis, the noble sanctuary, one of the holiest places in Islam. He said that the holy mosque Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa is also on Palestine.

The sheikh also added that Baitul-Maqdis in Palestine was the first Qibla (direction in which Muslims face when praying). 

In addition to this Sheikh Mohamed Didi spoke of the atrocities of the Jewish Occupation against the people of Palestine. He said that the Muslims are oppressed by the Jewish Occupation in every way.

Sheikh Mohamed Didi noted that the issue of Palestine is the biggest political challenge faced by Muslim countries. He said that many more problems have stemmed from this issue and peace and stability can return to Palestine and all the Muslim lands by solving this issue.
