Corruption cases against GMR filed at anti corruption

Corruption cases involving GMR in the lease of the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport have been filed at the respective anti corruption authorities of India.
“Reclaiming Maldivian airport to Maldivians” movement’s spokesperson Abdullah Mohamed said that the cases are filed on behalf of the movement and they are not filed in the individual capacity of any person.
Abdullah Mohamed said that these cases of corruption are being submitted at the relevant authorities against all people involved in these cases.
In this regard he noted that the cases are being filed at Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Anti-Corruption Bureau and the office of the leading anti corruption activist Ana Hazare.
“We now filing these cases. We have received the letter of acceptance of the corruption case filed against Mr. Mulay, the Indian High Commissioner for Maldives at the Anti Corruption Bureau of India,” he said.
Abdullah Mohamed said that it is believed that these cases will be important for the Indian government in their fight against corruption.
