Difficult to cooperate with the govt until the reason for the dismissal of Dr. Shamheed is revealed- JP

Jumhooree Party has stated that it will be difficult to cooperate with the government until the government reveals the reason for the dismissal of Jumhooree Party’s Dr. Ahmed Shamheed from the post of Minister of Transport and Communication.

Feydhoo constituency MP, Alhan Fahmy said that the government should reveal why Dr. Shamheed was sacked from the ministerial post. And if the government does not reveal the reason for dismissal than Jumhooree Party will again consider Dr. Shamheed’s name for the post.

Alhan said that the Jumhooree Party should be granted two seats of the cabinet although they have been given one. He said that the government should resolve this issue too.

While the government stated that the slot for the Minister of Health was reserved to Jumhooree Party, Health Minister Dr. Jamsheed refused to join a political party till now.  As a result Jumhooree Party claims that that slot was not given to them.

Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim said that he told the President that Dr. Jamsheed is a capable person for the post.
