MNDF begins a photo exhibition at Dh.Kudahuvadhoo
MNDF has started its 10th photo exhibition at Dh.Kudahuvadhoo as part of its 120th anniversary celebrations program. Together with the photo exhibition held at Dhaalu Atoll Education Center a “family evening” also commenced at the Center Friday.
The two activities were declared open by two children of the island at a special ceremony held to commemorate the event.
MNDF Central Area Commander Brigadier General Zakariyya Mansoor and the President of the Dh.Kudahuvadhoo Island Council addressed the gathering at the ceremony that began with the recitation of Quran.
The events at Kudahuvadhoo will last for two days. In this exhibition, the photos that are displayed include those from 3rd Novermber 1988 incident, certain notable services provided by MNDF and the role of MNDF in responding to major disasters in Maldives. The exhibition will be open for the public from 16:00hrs to 18:00hrs and 20:00hrs to 22:00hrs for two consecutive days. The family evening will also be conducted tomorrow from 16:00hrs to 18:00hrs.
The family evening includes various activities for children including angry bird game, football game, drawing pictures, fishing games, dart etc. This event is organized by MNDF in collaboration with some associations and government organizations of the island including Dhaalu Atoll Council Office, Island Council Office, Dhaalu Atoll Education Center, Dhaalu Atoll Family and Children Service Center, Kudahuvadhoo Youth Association, United Islamic Society, Reynisginthi Society and Kudahuvadhoo Central Utilities Limited.
At the special ceremony to mark the opening of the events, Kudahuvadhoo Island Council members, senior government officials, students and citizens participated.
