No Party should precede their ideology above Islam: Mahloof
No political party should raise their
ideology above the creed of the religion of Islam, says Galolhu Dhekunu MP Ahmed
Mahloof.
Mahloof said that to accept the
false call of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s Chairperson Moosa Manik (Reeko)
to abandon praying behind the religious scholars of the Adhaalath Party then
such a people are raising their ideology above the pure creed of Islam. He said
that this is unacceptable at all times.
Mahloof also condemned the
speech of former President Nasheed espousing Ganja to be given to heroin
addicts. He said that this ideology to give a forbidden drug to the drug addicts
instead of trying to save them from drug abuse is an ideology raised above the
principles of Islam by former President Nasheed.
“Next we see parents protesting
in support for a people who raise their own ideas above the principles of Islam.
This in itself will be considered an act of support of their ideology. So what
can these parents say when their children use ganja?,” he asked.
Mahloof said that this is an
issue of national concern. He said that the people should always strive hard for
a better life by abiding by the morals and principles of Islam. And no people
should ever raise their own ideas above Islam.
