And this afternoon, 3 people entered the home of a police officer, armed with knives, and attempted to stab him. Armed with skillful self-defense, this officer did not suffer any injuries.
Strongly condemning targeted attacks on police officers, SP Ahmed Mohamed said that this sort of violence is not accepted in any democratic society.
Ahmed Mohamed highlighted that, when covering news related to police, some local media houses fail to inquire of the police and spread news that create confusion among viewers. He also urged the media, not to create confusion among viewers by spreading unsubstantiated news and to get information from the police in such matters.
Referring to a statement from another institution, about the Police operation in Lonuziyaaraiy Kolhu, Ahmed Mohamed said that it is very important for such institutions to inquire of the parties concerned before releasing such statements.
