Gasim Ibrahim urges all to unite to protect the sovereignty of the nation

Leader of Jumhooree Party, Gasim Ibrahim has urged the people to unite to protect the sovereignty of the nation.

Gasim Ibrahim said this while speaking at the ceremony held at the main office of the Jumhooree Party to mark the celebration of the joining of some youth from Noonu Velidhoo to the party.

He said that the opposition’s illegal activities perpetrated throughout the country in the guise of political activities have spiraled out of control. He said that the people should watch these events keenly with concern. He said that the nation is now plunged into turmoil of immorality and it is time for the people to unite to save the nation from further drowning into total chaos.

In this regard Gasim condemned threats of the opposition on the senior officials of the government. He also noted that the actions of the MDP by holding violent riots in the country even during Ramadan are something which cannot be witnessed from true Muslims.

He said that the people are very alarmed and concerned by these unislamic activities of the MDP. He said that the people understand that these activities are acts perpetrated to mock the blessed month of Ramadan.
