Lifetime achievement award conferred to Gasim Ibrahim


World Education Congress has conferred “Lifetime achievement award” to Gasim Ibrahim, the founder of the Villa College.


The award was conferred to Gasim Ibrahim by R. L Batia, the founder of World Education Congress, at a special ceremony held at Nasandhuru Palace Hotel yesterday night.
According to World Education Congress, Gasim Ibrahim’s leadership and contribution to the field of Education are well known, the position that he occupied in the fraternity are strategic and iconic, as a thinker and doer he is a role models and a believer in change.


The World Education Congress decided to award Gasim Ibrahim with the “Lifetime achievement award” after a meeting of more than 600 representatives of the organisation from around the world.
The award was conferred to Gasim Ibrahim recognizing him in the field of educational philanthropy and for his extraordinary commitment, excellence, leadership, productivity, generosity and service in the education sector of the Maldives.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Batia underscored the importance of education for the society. He said that doors will be open for every individual who sincerely wants to serve the nation. He said that Gasim Ibrahim is a role model who is tirelessly devoted to improving the field of education in the country.


Gasim Ibrahim said that he thanks Allah for granting him the sustainability to serve the people of Maldives. He assured that he will remain as an asset for the people.
“Achieving these international awards is a source of encouragement. I will remain at the service of the people not only in the education sector, but in the health sector and other fields,” he said.
