Government has sent notice to Yacht Tours owned by Kaashidhoo constituency MP Abdullah Jaabir to hand over Alidhoo and Kudarah operated by the company to the government.

The government made the notice after revoking the licences of the two resorts operated by MP Jaabir’s company after the company failed to pay the overdue rents and fines to the state.

Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Adheeb said that Alidhoo and Kudarah operated by the Yacht Tours have failed to pay large sums of overdue rents and fines. Minister Adheeb said that the Yacht Tours did not make any communication with the ministry to settle their undue payments which reach about more than 4 million US dollars for six quarters.
