Ilham has a firm resolve

Will garner full support of Laamu Atoll- Umar Naseer

Umar Naseer, the interim Vice President of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) who is contesting in the presidential primary of the party said that he is confident that he will garner full support from Laamu Atoll. He made this remark speaking to Miadhu Daily after concluding his campaign tour to Laamu Atoll.

Umar Naseer said that the campaign trip to Laamu Atoll was a success and he expressed confidence that the majority of the people support him.

“This trip to Laamu Atoll is a success. I have full guarantee that I have the full support of the people of Laamu Atoll. I have no doubt in it. There is a reason why all members have accepted me. The people happily accept the efforts and sacrifices made up until today,” he said.

In addition to this Umar Naseer spoke regarding the candidates who are contesting of the Vice Presidency of the PPM. He said that Gemanafushi MP Ilham Ahmed is a very capable candidate who is firm in his resolve and determination. He said that there is no one among the candidates who is more loyal to President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom then Ilham. He also urged all members who support him to vote for Ilham.
