President urges VOM to spread good Islamic values through its programs 

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has the Voice of Maldives (VOM) to spread, through its programs, good social and Islamic values among the young people. The President said this while congratulating VOM on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

In his message, the President extended sincere good wishes to all those who had contributed their services to the Voice of Maldives, including its past and current management, presenters, technicians, journalists and administrative staff.

In his message, the President noted the contribution of the Voice of Maldives, operated under different names, to the society over the past 50 years. He also stated that over the past 50 years the people who had served for the radio had laid a strong foundation, on which the Voice of Maldives was now functioning.

He therefore said it was important to remember the contributions made by those who had served in the radio since its beginning 50 years ago. 

In his message, the President expressed confidence that the VOM would continue to be a favorite radio among the listeners.
