Official Song of Maldives Travel Awards 2012 Released

Maldives Promotion House - The official song of MATATO’s GMR Maldives Travel Awards 2012 has been released. The song, “It’s the Sunny Side of Life” was sung by popular Maldivian artist Unoosha and the music was composed by Barchie. The song is now available on Dhiraagu MyTones, and both the songs can be activated by calling 155 from Dhiraagu Mobile Numbers. The MyTones ID for “It’s the Sunny Side of Life” is 18971, and the ID for “The Maldives Song” is 15297.

During the past few years Unoosha’s songs have gained an immense popularity. She sang her first international song for Bollywood recently and released a destination promotion song last year. “The Maldives Song” was released at the Sounds of Maldives event held at Kuda Bandos.

With this fabulous song, the GMR Maldives Travel Awards 2012, organized by High Rise, will become one of the most prestigious events yet to be held in Maldives. The event has already seen a tremendous amount of support with over 65 nominees, nominated for 23 categories.

Public voting was opened on 15th August and will end on 15th September. As of now, over 30,000 votes have been cast. From among the voters a lucky draw winner will be awarded two return tickets to Maldives via Etihad Airways and a seven night stay at Paradise Island Resort & Spa.

MATATO holds exclusive rights to Maldives Travel Awards, and High Rise will organize the event for the next 3 years. This year’s title is sponsored by GMR and the event is co-sponsored by Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives and Semicolon. This year’s event’s official host is Paradise Island Resort & Spa by Villa Hotels and the official travel partner is Etihad Airways and their GSA AirPlus Travel & Tours.
