Big Cheat Nazim sued for fraudulent transactions


Deputy Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis and opposition Peoples’ Alliance (PA) Parliamentary Group Leader, Ahmed Nazim has been sued in court for fraudulent transactions.

Nazim was sued for his involvement in a fraudulent transaction worth of 1425000 Ruffiya. He was accused of using the equipment and staff of Namira Engineering and Trading Private Limited of which he was the managing director to propose a bid to Atolls Ministry in the name of an unregistered company called Tech Media Services.

In the hearing of the trial against Deputy Speaker, the state lawyer representing the Prosecutor General stated that Ahmed Nazim who was the Managing Director of Namira Engineering and Trading Private Limited was involved in the fraudulent transaction while bidding to buy 15000 National Flags for Atolls Ministry under an unregistered fake company.

Meanwhile, if the Deputy Speaker Ahmed Nazim is guilty as charged he will be sacked from the post since it is mentioned in the article 73 of the constitution that if an MP is charged with crime he will be removed from the post.
