Gov’t not concerned infanticide on the rise- Rozaina
Thulusdhoo MP Rozaina Adam has said that the government is now showing any concern for the rise in infanticide in the Maldives.
Rozaina said that the government undermines social issues and that the government only shows concern over political issues only.
“I call upon the government to give importance to the social issues that the country is facing. The government has to work to solve these problems. Only solving political issues or being concerned only about political issues is not plausible,” Rozaina said.
Rozaina said that Government should also come up with more stern messages that infanticide is a grave crime and its perpetrators would not be allowed to go scot free.
