DicTator gayoom slaps his own Party and calls to boycott DRP rally

Faction of the founding leader of Dictaor Maumoon Abdul Gayoom of the main opposition Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) has called out to the supporters of Gayoom to boycott the rally to be held tonight at Kalaafaanu School hall, organised by DRP leader Ahmed Thasmeen’s faction.

Dictator Gayoom’s faction appealed all members to boycott the rally organised tonight by DRP.

Speaking to the media at the Submarine office owned by the dismissed Deputy Leader of DRP, Umar Naseer, Mahloof said that tonight’s rally is not organised by DRP. He said that DRP will have no rally in Kalaafaanu School.

Mahloof said that tonight’s rally organised by Thasmeen’s faction is held to check on the support the people have for their faction. He said that this is evident from them that they are holding the meeting at the smallest school with only a capacity of 300 seats.

“We appeal all those who support Gayoom to boycott this rally. We call them not to even go there to sight see the event. They (Thasmeen’s faction) only want to test how much support they have from the people,” Mahloof said.
