No harm can be done to Dictator Gayyoom even if all his allowances are cut- Mahloof

Galolhu Dhekunu MP, Ahmed Mahloof has said that no harm can be done to Former President Dictator Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom even if the government cuts all of his allowances.

This clearly proves that Dictator Gayoom has stolen well enough wealth from Public Funds during his 30 yrs of Dictatorship rule in the ountry. And also he is using these stolen public funds to activate public to safe guard all his illegal activities.

Just think and read the following:

Debating on the bill presented to the Peoples’ Majlis by Thimarafushi MP Mohamed Mustafa, Mahloof said that “the government cannot arrest Former President Gayyoom since he is backed by the majority of people of Maldives.”

Mahloof said that it would have been better for the MPs of the ruling party to be present bills to save the people from the charlatans in the current government. He said that the MPs of MDP are prejudiced and are presenting bills as such to wage their personal vendetta against Gayyoom.

Mahloof said that the article 126 of the Constitution states that each former President shall be entitled for the remainder of his life to receive from the government a monetary allowance.

Thimarafushi MP, Mustafa said that the Gayyoom has been taking advantage of the allowance allocated by the government to the Former President. He said that Gayyoom uses it to gain popularity in the politics.

Meanwhile, Ruling party Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s then Parliamentary Group Leader, Moosa Manik said that the allowances of the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom will be cut when the MDP wins the majority in the Peoples’ Majlis.

Speaking at a MDP public rally held last month at Dharubaaruge on Monday night, Moosa Manik said that Gayyoom and those loyal to him in the Majlis have been trying to interfere in the powers and responsibilities of the government and for the obstruction of country’s development for political motives.

Moosa Manik said that the allowances cannot be granted for the former President Gayyoom when he is still active in politics.
