King Saud University grants 5 scholarship opportunities to the Maldives


The King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has granted 5 scholarship opportunities to the Maldives.

In a meeting with the Maldivian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Adam Hassan, Rector Dr. Abdulla Al-Usman of the University noted that the scholarships will be available for the upcoming academic year at the University. Thanking the Rector for the opportunity, Ambassador Hassan spoke about the close relations Maldives shared with Saudi Arabia and noted that many Maldivians had been educated in the country.

The scholarships granted by King Saud University are for postgraduate studies, and according to Dr. Al Usman there were no specific allocations for either Masters or PhD and he encouraged students to pursue research based education in the University.

King Saud University is one of the oldest Universities in Saudi Arabia, and courses are available in their College of Engineering, College of Science, College of Food & Agriculture, College of Computer and Information, Architecture and Planning, Business Administration, Medicine & Health Sciences, Dentistry, Pharmaceuticals, Applied Medical Science and Nursing.
