Adhaalath begins work to discourage lewdness
The Deputy President elect of the Adhaalath Party, Dr. Mauroof Ahmed has said that the party is considering beginning works to discourage lewdness.
Dr. Mauroof said that this in his address at the closing ceremony of the 2nd National Assembly of the Adhalaath Party held in Dharubaaruge yesterday evening.
Dr. Mauroof said that adultery, fornication and other promiscuous sex practices are punishable in Islam, because they are indeed serious crimes which affect the entire society. He said that the AIDS and Hepatitis-B problems in the world are due largely to sexual permissiveness.
Dr. Mauroof said that the party has met with the officials of the Health Ministry to discuss these problems. He said that the conclusion of the meetings was that the government is even unable to bring a solution to these social ills.
The Deputy President of the party said that the level to which the social conscious of the country has fallen is of great concern. They said that the reasons behind this downturn are the lack of proper Islamic upbringing and the spread of brothels in the guise of massage parlours.
