Opposition to establishing ties with Zionists will continue- Dr. Mauroof

Deputy President of the Adhaalath Party, Dr. Mauroof Ahmed has said the opposition to strengthening relations with the Zionists State of the Jews will still continue.

Dr. Mauroof said that this in his address at the closing ceremony of the 2nd National Assembly of the Adhalaath Party held in Dharubaaruge yesterday evening.

Speaking at the assembly, Dr. Mauroof explained the merciless policy of occupation, oppression and massacre being carried out against Muslims of the Middle East by the Jewish occupational forces who have adopted Zionism, which is a racist ideology. He also detailed on the human rights violations committed by Israel in Palestine.

Dr. Mauroof said that every Muslim and person of conscience and justice from every belief would condemn this unjust oppression and is right to do so.

Dr. Mauroof said that his party is against establishing ties with only Zionists, whom he said purely follows a racist and cruel ideology, and not all disbelievers.

Meanwhile, during the closing ceremony, a video recording of the famous British politician, author, journalist and broadcaster, George Galloway was shown in which he spoke against the government’s permission given to Israel’s national carrier El Al to begin flying to Maldives. He said that El Al is like the Trojan horse which will be used to infiltrate the country.

Galloway who was a Member of Parliament from 1987 to 2010 is also known for his vigorous campaigns in favour of the Palestinians in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He also attempted to both overturn economic sanctions against Iraq in the 1990s and early 2000s and to avert the 2003 invasion.
