All should be ready for coming religious challenges- Shaheem
Former State Minister for Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Shaheem Ali Saeed has said that the Maldivians are now facing many religious challenges and said that the people should be ready to face these challenges.
Sheikh Shaheem said this while giving the inaugurating speech at the 2nd National Assembly of Adhaalath Party held in Dharubaaruge yesterday evening.
“Adhaalath Party is facing innumerable challenges, both political and religious. I call all members of the party to stand firm and speak the truth in the face of falsehood,” he said.
Sheikh Shaheem said that the success of the party lies in the beautiful principles of Islam that the party is upholding. He also said that the members play a major role in upholding these principles.
“Adhaalath Party came in to existence with a very noble cause. Our party came to existence for the sake Islam, for the sake of the sovereignty of this nation. We formed the party to uphold the Constitution and rule of law. We did not register this party to fight for leadership. It is not our aim,” Shaheem said.
