MDP exposes their reality by planning to
protest against 23 December protest: BA Naseem
Local Islamic scholar, B.A Naseem has said that the ruling Maldivian Democratic Party has exposed their reality by planning a protest against the mass protest organized by Civil Society Coalition, opposition parties and religious organisations calling the government to protect the Islamic unity in Maldives.
Speaking on RadiAtoll “HendhunuFaruva” programme, BA Naseem said that this decision of the ruling party shows that they are behind the recent protest staged by handful of heretical apostates at Artificial Beach area calling for religious freedom and gay rights in the Maldives.
BA Naseem said that it is obligatory to hold protests and demonstrations calling for the protection of the Islamic religion of this country at a time when the enemies of Islam are trying to corrupt the minds of the people with their atheistic false beliefs.
BA Naseem who is also the former head of the religious council of MDP said that those who come out against a protest advocating for the rights of Islam are exposing their hatred to Islam and Muslims.
He said that it is no surprise that the mockery against religious scholars have increased in the Maldives in the recent years. He said that the reason for this is that this is imminent when ignorance is widespread in the country.
BA Naseem said that he has experienced the anti Islamic policies of MDP during his time in the party. He said that the religious council under passed a resolution to hold a protest against in defense of the Prophet of Islam against the caricatures of the prophet by a Danish cartoonist. He said that the protest committee of the party obstructed the implementation of the resolution and did not give the opportunity to hold the demonstration.
BA Naseem said that it was MDP who seeks violence. He said that it is for this reason that they decided to confront the protestors.
BA Naseem noted that all of the protests held by religious scholars are evidence that the December 23 mass protest will also be a peaceful protest.
