CSC calls all responsible parties to include civil servants’ salaries in 2013 state budget
President of the Civil Service Commission, Mohamed Fahmy Hassan has called all responsible parties in the government to include the lowered salaries of the civil servants in the state budget of the year 2013.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Fahmy Hassan said that all the parties responsible were informed to include the lowered salaries of the civil servants in the 2013 state budget. He said that the MPs were also informed to include it in the 2013 budget if the government fails to reinstate it this year.
Fahmy said that the commission is currently holding discussions with the Finance Minister on restoring the lowered salaries. He said that the parties responsible for the matter were informed during the time when the government was allocating the state budget.
The President of CSC said that it is saddening that the government has so far failed to reinstate the lowered salaries on the claims of a shortage in the state budget.
Fahmy noted that the government has been paying the state debts despite of the alleged shortage. He said that the government does not bring excuses for paying off their debts by saying that more Ruffiya needs to be printed. He said that the government only makes this excuse only in the case of restoring the lowered salaries.
