Make best use of Ramadan, Bin Humaid urges Muslims
MAKKAH – In his Friday sermon, Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Humaid, Imam and
Khateeb of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, advised Muslims to fear Allah in private
and in public.
He said a sign of commitment to Islam is sincerity to Allah in secret and
public, a sign of gratitude is the acceptance of the decrees of Almighty Allah,
while a sign of love is supplicating to Almighty Allah.
He said the holy month provides a unique opportunity for Muslims to purify their hearts from sin, hatred and prejudice. It also provides Muslims a chance to seek Allah’s forgiveness and mercy for their sinful deeds. He said Almighty Allah loves His slaves who continually seek His forgiveness.
The Grand Mosque Imam said Almighty Allah has given this country the honor of
serving Muslims coming for Haj and Umrah. He said the country is providing
worshippers with the best services possible, to enable them to perform their
rituals in ease and comfort.
In Madina, Sheikh Ali Abdul Rahman Al-Huthaifi, Imam and Khateeb of the
Prophet’s Mosque, said life on earth is short and that all creatures will be
held accountable for their actions in the Hereafter.
He urged Muslims to use these blessed days to supplicate to Almighty Allah and
seek His forgiveness.
Millions of Umrah pilgrims, visitors and worshippers performed Friday prayers at
the Grand Mosque in Makkah without any problems.
Worshippers filled the inside and courtyards of the mosque. All government
agencies were ready to provide whatever services were needed by people from all
over the world.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques deployed
thousands of its staff to monitor all the gates of the two mosques to organize
the entry and exit of worshippers. They also provided Umrah pilgrims with
information on how to perform their rituals properly.
The Makkah Mayoralty has assigned more than 5,000 cleaners to remove rubbish
from all the areas surrounding the Holy Haram, especially the Central Area.
Public health inspectors are also conducting regular checks of restaurants in
the holy city to ensure they serve healthy food to pilgrims. Traffic police
ensured that there was a smooth flow of traffic especially in the Central Area.
