If anyone did deploy Israelis to Maldives for Ramadan then it must be RiyazRasheed- Islamic Ministry

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has said that if anyone did deploy Israelis to Maldives garbed in Arabic white Jubba to promote their religion in the country in Ramadan then it was not done with the permission of the Ministry and if it did happen it must be RiyazRasheed who brought the Israelis.

In view of the statement of Dhivehi Qaumee Party (DQP) MP and Parliamentary Group leader RiyazRasheed, that the government was attempting to deploy Israelis to the Maldives by making them wear white jubbato propagate their religion, the state minister for Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Hussein Rasheed Ahmed said that the Ministry brought 4 scholars from Saudi Arabia and 16 memorisers of the Quran from the neighbouring India for Ramadan.

Hussein Rasheed also said that the Ministry has given permission to some preachers of the neo-sufi group from the Indian subcontinent known as the TablighiJamaat to preach in the mosques.

“We do not want to comment on the talks going on in the Peoples’ Majlis. There is no legal action that can be taken against the speech emanating from the Majlis, it might be that the MPs have the false notion or belief that even the angels do not write what these MPs utter in the Majlis,” Hussein Rasheed said.

Meanwhile, some graduates of the Madinah University has been condemning the current Ministry of Islamic Affairs for permitting preachers from TablighiJamaat to preach in the Maldives. According to them TablighiJamaat has added innovations and polytheistic acts in to the religion in the guise of worship and righteous actions.
