Those who don’t use their intellect for good are lower than animals- Ali Zahir

Sheikh Ali Zahir has said that those human beings who do not use their intellectual and receptive faculties are of a lower order than animals.

Speaking at the last evening’s session of the programme organized by Ministry of Islamic Affairs to revive the nights of the blessed month of Ramadan, Sheikh Ali Zahir said that although Allah gave mankind a special status and elevated above the rest of creation, there those among mankind who elevate the status of man above their real status. He also said that there also exists the mere opposite of this who takes mankind as being even lower than animals.

Sheikh Ali Zahir said that Islam came to regain dignity for humanity regardless of their race and color. He added that Islam made all human beings equal and made the principle of Taqwa (Piety) the only basis by which people are considered superior to others.

Sheikh Ali Zahir also said killing, genocides, the wholesale destruction of buildings and properties, the bombing and maiming of innocent men, women, and children are all forbidden and detestable acts according to Islam.

Furthermore, Sheikh Ali Zahir said that the human body is sacred even after death. He said that the Messenger of Allah said: “Breaking the bone of a dead person is similar (in sin) to breaking the bone of a living person”
