No room for doubts that Quran is the Word of Allah- Dr. Abdul Majeed

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Baari has said that there is no room for doubts that Quran is the Word of Allah.

Speaking at Friday night’s session of the programme to revive the nights of the Ramadan, Minister Dr. Abdul Majeed said that unlike scientific theories and other books, the Quran remains unchanged although it has been more than 1400 years since its revelation.

Dr. Abdul Majeed said that Science has not reached its ultimate stage of progress and is therefore subject to change over time.  He said that a certain theory becomes very popular during a period, and then it is replaced by another one. 

The Minister said that although Quran is not considered to be a scientific encyclopedia or a book of science, and it is incorrect to adapt Quran to changeable scientific theories, one cannot deny that the Quran contains references to some natural phenomena. 

Furthermore, Dr. Abdul Majeed underscored the importance of understanding the Quran. He said that during the recitation and the study of Quran, one must earnestly try to understand the message contained in this book. He added that in order to really benefit from it, the believer is expected to ponder and reflect upon its verses.
