Arrival of a self-proclaimed prophet is a grave concern-Afrasheem

President of the Islamic Wing of the main opposition Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), Dr. Afrasheem Ali has said that the arrival of a self-proclaimed prophet to the country is a grave concern for the people of Maldives.

Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Dr. Afrasheem who is also the Vice President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) said that all Maldivian Muslim brethren should be concerned of the arrival of the self-proclaimed prophet Makbool Husain from the United Kingdom who is of Pakistani descent.

Dr. Afrasheem said that it is necessary for the Muslims to beware and take extreme caution against the waves upon waves of such assaults that are being made from all directions, the aim of which is to desecrate the foundations of Islamic faith from the people of Maldives.

Dr. Afrasheem said that it is saddening that such imposters are being invited by those few deluded Maldivians. He said that such incidents show that the society is in need of Islamic awareness and that it is necessary for Muslims to be well-informed about the plots of such imposters and their deception and misguiding of the people through their great deceptions and lies in the name of religion.

Dr. Afrasheem appealed the government to take necessary steps to stop these assaults that are directed to desecrate the faith of the people of Maldives.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Makbool Husain denied any claims of prophethood when he was questioned by the Police. However, in his official website ‘Godprovenas1’, Makbool Husain claimed that he is the Messenger of God.
