Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Maldives also is one of the most popular and loved resort on Trip Advisor as is evident from the feedback of guests.
Taj Exotica is one of the best and most creative resorts in the Maldives, its review going way above than the idyllic beauty of the island. For instance, Taj Exotica organized a special viewing of the longest annular solar eclipse of the millennium on 15 January 2010. Maldives was the best place to view the rare eclipse. To view this rare phenomenon all the guests at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa were invited to the Equator Bar from 12 noon to 1245 hours where cool drinks and special sunglasses awaited the guests. All the guests of the hotel were very excited and gathered at the bar deck of the Equator Bar to view the Solar Eclipse.
Another great achievement of the resort was the celebration of New Year 2010 through local tradition, which was well received by the tourists in the resort.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, General-Manager of the award winner for “World’s best leading Hotel” said that one of the key objectives of the 2010’s New Year celebration was to demonstrate the local tradition, art, culture and productivity in a truly Maldivian setting.
He also said that tourists were very satisfied with the setting which was created mainly of thatched leaves and local woods.
Mr. Girish also said that the change in the celebration style, rather than going for the usual western style was welcomed by the tourists.
As the management was very pleased about the occupancy rate for 2009 and in honor of the hard work employed by the staff at the resort, 1 January 2010 was marked as a special night for the staff. The celebration included a replication of the events staged for the tourists on 31 December 2009.
Last December Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives celebrated its 7th anniversary in grand style, by holding a special staff party on 15th December 2009 to conclude its anniversary programme. Special recognition and certificates were issued to Associates who have completed 5 years to 10 years and 15 years and more of continuous service.
As part of the Annual Day events, which started with a lavish dinner and a live band, the resort’s Associates including the management put up various entertaining stage performances which engaged the audiences till almost 3:00 am.
Mr. Ali didi who is being with Taj for the past 29 years has been invited to stay in the resort along with his family.
